SEPTEMBER 2008
Thanks John; we love hearing from Glacier riders! Contact us with the story of your Glacier. AUGUST 2008 Glacier is extremely proud of both riders overall standings for the season. Noble, a mountain bike racer at heart, achieved an amazing 10th overall in the province despite only attending 3 out of 12 point events in the road category. Brooks maintained her third place standing throughout the season, also only being able to attend 3 out of 12 events. We are confident that both riders will excel to the top of their categories and be an asset to the future of cycling in this country, whether it is in mountain biking or on the road. Glacier is honoured to have been a part of their development. Here is to 2009.

JULY 2008 Some riders prefer the Cane Creek IS because it offers a slightly lower stack height but others are concerned about the apparent gap of a Cane Creek IS headset in a Campy IS frame. The gap is apparent only and primarily a function of the paint layer over the raw carbon. To reiterate: There is no risk of damage to your frame or fork using the Cane Creek IS headset. Nevertheless, for riders who wish, Glacier is offering to replace any Cane Creek IS headset on frames so equipped with a Campy IS headset. Simply take your bike to your local bike shop and have them contact Glacier Bikes to arrange the headset swap. Glacier Bikes will be using Campy IS headsets on all its frames from this date forward. If you have the Cane Creek standard headset it is not necessary to replace it with a Campy IS headset. The difference is cosmetic only and if you choose to replace your headset in the future, rest assured you can use either size (41.0 or 41.8 mm), unlike other frames that are sized for the Cane Creek IS only. If you have any questions or concerns about headset sizing on your Glacier, please feel free to contact Glacier Bikes directly. MARCH 2008
Cayley is currently spending her March break down south to train for the upcoming season. We will keep you posted on her accomplishments and stories, so visit often for more information. MARCH 2007 A couple of proud Glacier owners took the time to contact us recently with photos of their bikes and to tell us how much they love their Glaciers. At their request we have eliminated their personal information but click on these images to read about "J" and how his Glacier got him back on a bike after a horrific car crash - as well as how it has replaced his $5700 Masi as his bike of choice. Or check out "R" and his one-of-a-kind Glacier single speed.
We love to hear Glacier stories. Contact us with yours! JULY 2006
JUNE 2006 They loved the smooth ride and handling of the Team Ice they reviewed. Their only gripe? They thought the finish was a bit "sombre". That was before we released our new "Frozen Plasma" finish (See press release above). Read the review yourself in the original french or translated to english.

Former Washington Capitols and LA Kings player, John Druce, recently purchased his Glacier bike from Alpha One Exercise Equipment of Omemee, rode it and wanted to let us know what he thought. In Druce's own words, “this bike is like none other. It is so much better then my other bike at everything. I climb better, I descend better and I can accelerate with amazing efficiency. The carbon frame is gorgeous to look at; people often comment on the simple, yet addictive appearance of my Glacier. This bike makes me want to ride more. I love this bike.” Druce began seriously riding this year after dabbling in the sport for a number of years. Druce assisted with the Pedal for Hope campaign by giving of his own time to be a celebrity guest at over 50 school presentations, helping to raise awareness for the campaign and its goal.
Glacier Bikes president, Peter Sejrup, attended the Harlem Globe Trotter event in Peterborough, Ontario, as a member of the Pedal for Hope cycling team. This team consists of 10 police officers from the Peterborough-Lakefield Police Service and the Peterborough OPP, who will ride over 1000 kms in three weeks to help raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Cancer research. Sejrup, who is also a police officer, pedaled along side PC Marc Habgood for the entire event and helped raise over $200 towards the campaign. The Globe Trotters were kind enough to have their photo taken with the officers who attended the event.
Glacier Bikes is proud to join Shimano Canada as an official sponsor for the pedal for Hope campaign. Peter Sejrup, president of Glacier Bikes is also a participating police officer in the campaign to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research. Sejrup wanted to put his money where his mouth was, citing his company’s philosophy of being charitable as well as profitable. APRIL 2005 The Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) graciously donated 250 “Livestrong” bracelets to the Pedal for Hope campaign. It was the wish of the LAF that the bracelets be handed out to those who are survivors and fighters of Cancer. The team was excited to be affiliated with the LAF and wore their bracelets with pride.
